Adopting a new grade structure of

K-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12

is NOT best for our children

Every time we expose our children to a transition year*, they suffer both a decrease in attendance

and a sharp drop in academic performance.

* A transition year is when a child has to

move to a new building for academic study and

causes emotional stress for the child

As a comparison, Masterman is a K-12 school in Philadelphia.

It boasts some of the highest performance levels

in the entire state - one reason is that the students

are never subjected to a transition year -

and they are doing this in a 169 year old school building!

We Don't Need a New Middle School.

They WANT a New Middle School.
